Class A Foam
NAFFCO Class A Foam is an non-corrosive, non-toxic, biodegradable Class A firefighting foam concentrate that consists of various hydrocarbon surfactant, solvents, stabilizers, anticorrosion materials etc. This concentrate is highly effective with deep seated class fires such as tire, wood, plastic papers, coal room fires, structural fires etc.
This concentrate is suitable to use 0.1 to 1% concentration with fresh water, sea water and brackish water. When mixed with water in the correct proportion, it changes the properties of water, it reduces the surface tension of the water, and produces foam which allows the water to cling to vertical or horizontal surfaces without run off. This allows the water to absorb more heat and provides greater penetration into Class A fuels.
- Reduction of surface tension helps its solution to penetrate easily and thus make it superior wetting and penetrating characteristics.
- As this agent used as additive with water so it increases water efficiency almost five times.
- Suitable for use with all siliconized dry chemical extinguishing agents.
- Packing shall be 20 litres, 200 litres or 1000 litres tote.
